STEP 4 - Create Your Profile
Only the Nickname must be filled in to activate SafeSky, other information is optional, but useful.
If you plan to activate the Search & Rescue (SAR) feature, we strongly advise you to correctly fill in all the information in your profile (also refer to the dedicated SAR chapter).
We recommend providing at least the following information in your profile: xxx. You can choose whether to display your aircraft registration or not. This setting is editable in your profile (Public or Private).
If you plan to activate the Search & Rescue (SAR) feature, we strongly advise properly filling in all the information about your aircraft (see the dedicated chapter on SAR).
Public Profile or Private Profile?
You can choose between a public profile or a private profile. In both cases, the trace of your aircraft remains visible on SafeSky for other pilots. The main purpose is to identify a potential collision risk in the sky.
The difference between the two profiles can be summarised as follows:
- PUBLIC
-
-
Location of your position shown on the map or radar
-
Callsign displayed with the aircraft icon
-
Clicking on your aircraft will reveal information such as your username, a photo of your aircraft, ...
-
- PRIVATE
-
- Location of your position shown on the map or radar
- Callsign is not displayed with the aircraft icon
- Clicking on your aircraft will not reveal any information, except for your fellow pilots (see the chapter on flight companions).
- Location of your position shown on the map or radar
Your flight logs are stored locally on your smartphone or tablet.
If you consent to sending anonymous data in your Profile under "Settings", in case of any questions or technical issues, we will have direct access to your configuration, enabling us to better understand and potentially find a solution to your problem. This will streamline the resolution process and enhance our ability to provide you with better support.
