Using the SafeSky App with Your Aero-Tracker
The SafeSky App is your primary application for setting up and managing your Aero Tracker.
With it, you can:
- Pair your device with your SafeSky account
- Configure one or multiple aircraft
- Fly with the SafeSky App and activate the Smart Radar feature for traffic alerts
Alternatively, you can use your favourite navigation software, such as SkyDemon, Air Navigation Pro, EasyVFR, ForeFlight, or SDVFR. These will display a traffic layer with nearby aircraft.
Requirements
- Ensure you have the latest SafeSky App installed from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Your SafeSky account must be configured, with at least one aircraft set up.
- You must subscribe to the Premium Data plan, which includes:
- Full SafeSky Premium services
- Provisioning of mobile traffic data in Europe
Note: first month is free to try. You won't be charged for this.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Your Aero Tracker can operate via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

When using SkyDemon or the SafeSky App, Bluetooth is used.
Note: You do not need to manually pair the tracker with your phone. Pairing is handled directly within the SafeSky App.

When using other navigation software, the device uses GDL90 over Wi-Fi.
Please refer to your navigation software’s manual for GDL90 setup instructions.
Pairing the AERO TRACKER
Before flying, you must pair your Aero Tracker with your SafeSky account.
- Make sure at least one aircraft is configured in the SafeSky App.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
SIM Card Information
- The AERO TRACKER includes a built-in SIM card.
- It supports mobile data across the following countries:

Note: Switzerland will be available soon.
Status Information
When you return to "External Devices" in the SafeSky App, you’ll see diagnostic data such as:
- LTE connectivity
- Location and altitude (requires a clear view of the sky for GPS reception)
- Current selected aircraft
You should also see your aircraft displayed live on the SafeSky web map:
